We’ve compiled a list of the best affordable RVs in 2026 to help you get into the RV lifestyle without breaking the bank. Let’s get started!
Key Takeaways
- The best affordable RVs of 2026 include travel trailers, small lightweight RVs, full-time-friendly models, motorhomes, and fifth wheels—each offering strong value, practical layouts, and family-focused features.
- Standout models featured include the Coleman 23B, Jay Flight SLX 197MBW, Campsite Reserve 26CJ, Coleman 13S/13T, Ozark 1610FBLE, Campsite Reserve 39LA, Coleman Lantern 32BHS, and budget-friendly Class B and fifth wheels.
Our Favorite Affordable RVs in 2026
Travel trailers are often the most budget-friendly RVs on the market, making them ideal for new RV families, couples, and solo travelers. Some even offer surprisingly luxurious amenities and slide-outs that expand the living space. These are our top affordable RV trailers for 2026, designed to help you start making memories by the campfire.
Keystone Coleman 23B
Specs
- Length: 27’6
- Dry Weight: 4,462 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 2,038 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6
With no slide-out, the interior of the Coleman 23B is compact. However, this is partly due to Keystone’s effort to provide everything needed for a comfortable camping trip. You’ll find a sofa, a booth dinette, a 2-burner cooktop, a microwave, a fridge and freezer, spacious bunk beds, and a full bath.
One of my favorite features of this camper is the partition separating the queen bed from the rest of the camper. When traveling with kids, many parents want privacy, and the Coleman 23B delivers without creating a separate front bedroom. You’ll also have two side wardrobes and a shelf above the bed for adequate storage.
Compare the added living space in the Coleman 27B.
Jayco Jay Flight SLX 197MBW

Specs
- Length: 23’7”
- Dry Weight: 3,940 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,055 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
If you’re traveling with kids and looking for a comfortable interior space, the Jay Flight SLX 197MBW is an excellent option due to its double-over-double bunks and single slide-out, which makes the central living space more open. Families will appreciate the large U-shaped dinette in the slide-out across from the kitchen. Additionally, there’s good storage throughout, including shelves for towels and toiletries in the bathroom, drawers underneath the sofa, and side wardrobes for clothes.
Rather than a separate bedroom, the 197MBW features a Murphy bed that converts to a sofa when you aren’t sleeping. This saves space, keeping the camper under 24 feet long, but it also eliminates privacy. Parents will need to weigh the pros and cons of this layout to decide if this compact, yet comfortable, travel trailer is the right fit for their family.

Forest River Campsite Reserve 26CJ
Specs
- Length: 32’9”
- Dry Weight: 6,421 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,253 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
The Campsite Reserve 26CJ has a large slide-out with a booth dinette and a sofa, creating a spacious living area. It also features corner double-over-double bunk beds with storage underneath. I love the second entry into the rear corner bath because it makes it easy to clean up after a long day of hiking and exploring. You don’t have to walk through the camper to get to the sink.
The L-shaped kitchen seamlessly flows into the dining area, and a corner entertainment center is situated directly across from the sofa for optimal viewing. There’s also hidden storage behind the TV. The front bedroom has a camp king bed, a single wardrobe, and overhead storage compartments.
One significant drawback is the low cargo capacity. It’s the longest travel trailer on this list, but it only has about 200 more pounds of cargo capacity than the much smaller Jay Flight. Be cautious when loading this camper to ensure you don’t exceed its gross vehicle weight rating.

Top Affordable Small RVs
If you’re looking for smaller, budget-friendly travel trailers, we have a few good options under 21 feet. These RV campers won’t offer the same interior space, but they provide all the essentials for a comfortable camping trip. These small RVs are also easier to tow since they’re lightweight. If you’re looking for an RV trailer you can tow with an SUV, check out these affordable small RVs.
Keystone Coleman 13S and 13T
13S Specs
- Length: 15’11”
- Dry Weight: 2,830 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,170 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
The compact Coleman 13S features a corner bed, wet bath, pantry, flip-up bunk, sofa, electric fireplace, spacious countertop, single-burner electric cooktop, refrigerator, and microwave—everything you need for a weekend camping trip in 16 feet.
I love the multi-functional countertop above the fireplace that doubles as an eating area. If you need to work or check email, it also serves as a dedicated workspace. I also love that the entry door is in the rear, creating longer interior walls and making excellent use of the small space.
13T Specs
- Length: 15’11”
- Dry Weight: 3,005 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,250 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
The hybrid toy hauler Coleman 13T features a rear ramp door for effortless loading of your ATV, bikes, or paddleboards. The rugged off-road tires enable you to camp with the amenities of a campground or venture deeper into the woods, closer to trailheads or fishing holes.
Along the front wall is the kitchen, which features a 2-burner cooktop, a microwave/convection oven/air fryer combo camper, as well as a refrigerator/freezer. A wet bath sits in the corner, saving space while still giving you a place to wash up after a day of exploring.
I love the use of this small space, featuring a pop-out tent on the driver’s side that provides a comfortable sleeping area for two. There’s also a flip-up bar table with stools and a Murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

Forest River Ozark 1610FBLE

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 20’1”
- Dry Weight: 3,014 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 846 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 3
If you want a full bath without additional length, check out the Ozark 1610FBLE. The bathroom is situated along the rear wall and features a shower, sink, shelves, and spacious counterspace.
I also love the layout of the L-shaped lounge, which creates a comfortable space for eating and hanging out directly across from the kitchen, which includes a 2-burner cooktop, a refrigerator, and overhead storage. There is no microwave, which is something to consider if it’s essential for your camping needs. Finally, the front queen bed is surrounded by storage space, providing ample storage solutions for both solo travelers and couples.
Jayco Jay Feather Air 15MRB

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 20’2”
- Dry Weight: 3,630 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,365 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 2
Another compact travel trailer with a rear full bath is the Jay Feather Air 15MRB. This Jayco travel trailer offers a fully equipped kitchen, featuring a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and a 2-burner cooktop. A booth dinette sits across from the kitchen by a large window, providing beautiful views if boondocking.
The 15MRB is also another affordable camper with a Murphy bed. If you want a dinette, sofa, and bed in a travel trailer around 20 feet long, this layout is one of the best. I also love the exterior, with a 13-foot awning and outside griddle for cooking up bacon or burgers.
Compare the added living space thanks to slide-outs in the 16FBS and 16RB floor plans.

Picks for the Best Affordable RVs to Live In
If you’re a full-time camper who needs more amenities, there are surprisingly many affordable RVs to live in. They are considerably larger and heavier than the smaller affordable travel trailers we’ve mentioned, so ensure you have a suitable vehicle for towing.
Forest River Campsite Reserve 39LA
Specs
- Length: 43’9”
- Dry Weight: 12,194 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,806 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
For full-timers, the Campsite Reserve 39LA offers a spacious interior with two levels and numerous amenities. Parents will love the upstairs loft, featuring two bunk beds and a play area for kids. Downstairs, the rear bedroom features a camp king bed, an electric fireplace, a private entry door, and a closet set up for a washer and dryer.
The central living space is enormous and features an L-shaped sectional sofa and a second sofa, providing ample seating for guests or large families. There’s also a large pantry, bar seating, a freestanding dinette, and an L-shaped front kitchen with abundant counterspace. What more could you want?
Keystone Coleman Lantern 32BHS
Specs
- Length: 36’11”
- Dry Weight: 7,640 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,860 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
For families seeking a rear bunk room, the Coleman Lantern 32BHS offers a private rear bunk room with a half bathroom featuring a second entry door. It offers great privacy for the kids, despite limited storage space, which includes a single wardrobe, two drawers, and a hidden compartment under a partial section of the upper bunk.
The central living area is spacious, making it an ideal layout for families with pets, thanks to a large slide-out that accommodates the sofa and booth dinette. The L-shaped kitchen offers decent counterspace and a large corner pantry, a crucial feature for full-time families. I also love the family-friendly appliances—a 16-cubic-foot 12V refrigerator, an air fryer/microwave/convection oven combo, and a 3-burner cooktop.
The front bedroom features a pocket door, side wardrobes, an additional small closet, and a king-size bed. There is great privacy for parents and kids in the 32BHS. Finally, I love the 21-foot awning, which creates shade in the summer and protection from rain when cooking outside.

Our Favorite Affordable Motorhomes & Fifth Wheels
Even though travel trailers are generally the most affordable new RVs, they aren’t for everyone. While motorhomes and fifth wheels come with higher price tags on average, we’ve assembled a couple of budget-conscious RV options in these segments.
Thor Freedom Elite 17D
Specs
- Length: 17’11”
- Chassis: RAM ProMaster® 1500
- GVWR: 8,550 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 3
The Freedom Elite 17D Class B van is built on a RAM ProMaster® 1500 chassis with a 3.6L V6 gas engine. It has a 47” x 75” rear bed with ample storage underneath. The storage is easily accessible through the rear double doors.
I also love the interior storage that includes upper shelves with cargo netting, zippable cubbies, and a kitchen counter with a drawer and enclosed shelves. There’s also a small fridge, an induction cooktop, and a stainless steel sink.
Keystone Cougar Sport Platinum 2400RE

Specs
- Length: 28’11”
- Dry Weight: 7,474 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 2,026 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6
Couples who prefer a fifth wheel will love the spaciousness and affordability of the Cougar Sport Platinum 2400RE. I love that Keystone built an L-shaped kitchen rather than a kitchen island because it creates a more open layout in a smaller fifth wheel. The slide-out across from the kitchen houses a booth dinette and theater seating, making the flow seamless and comfortable.
I also love the storage options in this fifth wheel under 29 feet. There’s a storage bench and coat rack as soon as you enter, a second closet in the front bedroom, and a butler pantry hidden behind the entertainment center, a space-saving concept while still providing abundant food storage. There’s a flip-up table along the rear wall that provides a dedicated work space or an excellent area to set up a taco bar or buffet-style dinner without using up the main counterspace.
